The $5.54 Billion Dollar Superseding Settlement is Now FINAL!

The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit affirmed in all respects the district court’s final judgment approving the Rule 23(b)(3) Class’s approximately $5.54 billion superseding settlement and then denied petitions for rehearing, that the only procedural hurdle remaining before approval of the superseding settlement would become final and proof of claim forms (“Claim Forms”) may be prepared by the Class Administrator and disseminated, was the filing of a petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.

No petitions were filed by the July 24, 2023 due date, which means that the judgment approving the superseding settlement is now final and no longer appealable.

The official settlement website, www.paymentcardsettlement.com, now discloses that the time for all appeals has passed and that the parties are currently preparing for the administration of the claims process.
